Since 1997, we have represented the interests of food processors and SMEs, working closely with government bodies, regulators, and stakeholders. Through continuous dialogue, policy recommendations, and advisory services, we ensure that industry needs and challenges are addressed effectively. Our efforts focus on creating fair regulations, enabling business environments, and promoting sector growth. Scope
SLFPA support the food processing industry’s growth, through advocating for fair tax reforms that helps the industry to become more competitive and sustainable.
We work with regulators to shape practical frameworks, helping food processors comply efficiently while fostering innovation and sector-wide development.
SLFPA addresses trade barriers, creating opportunities for processed food exports, enhancing global market access, and strengthening Sri Lanka’s food industry competitiveness.
We strongly advocate policymakers for strict food labelling standards, ensuring greater compliance and transparency to safe guard consumer trust and credibility of Sri Lanka’s food processing industry.
